Styled wedding shoot featuring Kim & Glenn | Kelowna wedding photographer

Ok friends, I've been waiting for all the new branding to be out in the world before I posted this styled session. This was by far one of my most favourite styled projects, mostly because of all the amazing ladies who collaborated on it, and let's be honest, Kim & Glenn were just the sweetest couple- the kind of couple who are all romance in the simplest way. Just so happy to be together, and that kind of sweetness is so refreshing, don't you think? PS- they are ninjas. Seriously.

 

I'll just give you a little low down on this project and all the talented ladies who were involved. First off, I can't say enough about how rad Mrs. Jennifer Simpatico, of Petal and Vow freelance flower design, is. No seriously- just know she is pretty darn great and is all action and ideas and pretty funny too. Not only did she design all the flower arrangements but she helped with every step from ideas to execution. I'm a big fan- can you tell from my gushing?

And then there were the girls of Mint Hair Studio- Lindsay (hair) and Jenna (makeup) took my very vague ideas about hair and makeup and made the already beautiful Kim, all sparkly and fresh looking. These girls are by far some of the funniest around. I could just go to Mint and hang out for the day and come home all smiley and a little bit sparkly. If you haven't been, please go- they will not disappoint. 

And lastly, the location where we shot at Claremont Ranch in Winfield. Which just so happens to be my sister and brother-in-law's farm. Isn't it spectacular? 

Baby girl Olive | Summerland newborn Photographer

Sweet baby Olive- this little baby could make anyone all cooey and melting from the inside. But then little girly came into the world on the very day proclaimed for lovers and loving and all things love. Baby Olive was an angel throughout her photo shoot, barely a fuss and oh so sweet to snuggle. It's photo sessions like these that make me feel even more fortunate to be a photographer. Peeking into the lives of such a new family gives me goosebumps, because there's little bits of magic hidden in those first few days. Babies are just so surreal. Olive's momma kept saying "oh my god I can't believe I'm a mom, I'm a total mom." And I was like "I know. It's crazy." And it is. Suddenly just one day, there they are out in the world for you to explore together.

Anyways, here I am rambling on and what I really wanted to say is how totally, undeniably, crazy in love this couple was with their baby, and how lucky I was to be able to pop over to capture their newness.
